RaW DoG Foods

I am The BEST HUNTER! Okay, not in the conventional sense, I’ve actually never hunted in my life, But my dogs Never knew this. To them I was the best! I often wonder what a dog must think when their humans come home from the grocery store? Bags overflowing with yummy goodies and the smell of deli meats wafting through the air, yet what do they get? A big colorful bag of dry, hard, boring feed! I was just NEVER comfortable in that situation and somehow thought it selfish of me to behave that way.

One the most enjoyable aspects of having a Dog, is seeing the satisfaction on their face during feeding time. I have always prepared fresh food for my dogs, as the thought of pouring dry kibble bits into their bowls filled me with guilt. Even as a young child, naive to the real dangers and misconception of commercial feed, I knew something was not right. As I became older, those feelings became justified, as I researched and became appalled at the processes and ingredients that accounted for commercial dog food.

It is common knowledge that dogs are Pack animals and in keeping with the fundamentals of the pack mentality, I always viewed myself as the ‘Alpha Male.’ Perhaps this is why I was always blessed with amazing, loving and fulfilling relationships with my dogs. Perhaps, it is because they love what I fed them, but either way I have always held a special place in my heart for ALL dogs. I used to joke with my parents as a young child, that ‘If reincarnation was real then I was positively a Dog in another life,’ but I digress!

Back to Food, ‘RaW DoG Foods,’ that is! That is the name of the dog food product line that I am developing. Having tweaked and researched various recipes for dog food, I have found that a diet based solely on Raw Whole foods is BEST for our Dogs! Hence, the name: ‘Raw Dog FooDs,’ was born! In the following weeks, I will be launching and selling a small line of handpicked, hand grinded and handmade dog food. It will be made of locally farmed meats, whole foods made with Love, and served with pride! RaW Dog Foods!
